Canada Trims Down Outland Application Process Time

Canada Trims Down Outland Application Process Time

Good News for Canadian marriage applicants! The federal government of Canada has officially reduced the processing time for the Outland Spousal/Common- Law sponsorship program. The Canadian government has taken this step given summer wedding season. This will benefit hundreds of thousands of marriage applicants. Initially, the process time for an application was listed by the visa office, which ranged between several months. But now. with the new rule in effect, the processing time of an application depends on the country where the spouse application is generated.

As a result of a difference in the application process, couples will now be able to choice an appropriate sponsorship program (inland or outland). Besides, it will also help the sponsored person to avail permanent Canadian Citizenship within a short span of time. This will come as a huge comfort for thousands of Canadian citizens, especially permanent residents, who look to unite with their foreign spouse in Canada.

Now, the marriage application process time for countries including Australia, New Zealand, Spain, Brazil and other Asia Pacific countries are reduced to less than one month (year). You can find the full list of countries right at the bottom of this article.

It was only in March earlier this year when the Canadian government announced a list of plans with immigration levels. The announcement was made with an intention to relax the norms for people to obtain permanent citizenship in Canada. The immigration levels are linked through the family class category that includes common law partners and spouses. Outland applications are processed through the embassies, where the application is created.
